Quantitative Correlation and Control Strategy for Element Content Fluctuation along Casting Direction in Central Area of Continuous Casting Billet

The statistical correlation was applied to analyze the specific and quantitative relationship between solidification structure central segregation along casting direction in carbon steel billet. On this basis, formation mechanism of solute element related control strategy were investigated. It is found that equiaxed crystal zone fluctuation determines degree segregation. At same time, at a certain position mostly affected by width hysteretic position.
